The Dwarves are a short, stocky and rugged race.  They are known for
their stamina but also for their great lack of speed and coordination. 
Coming up from the earth in the beginning of the lands, they are one of the
oldest races in AlteredReality.  Also known for their love of gold and gems,
they have mines in nearly every mountain range.  In the past the Dwarves
continually fought against goblins and other such intruders who would try to
get into their mines.  Because of the age of their race, they have a natural
resistance to poisons and diseases.  They also have infravision, the ability
to see heat up to a certain distance.  However, the Dwarves, are too heavy
to swim and are weak against water based attacks.  Because they came from
within the earth they have a weakness to magical energies.
