Player Killing on the mud
(Last Modified: Tue May 13, 2003)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2) Player Killing
2.1) PK Range
The range for pk is 10 levels above you, and 5 levels
below you. If a target is violent or you are killer, you
can attack up to 10 levels below you. This range is
also the range used to determine if actions are OOL (Out
Of Level).
2.2) Violent
When one character attacks another, they are both given
Violent flags. While Violent, a player cannot recall, or
use/be the target of any transportation spells, and they
may be attacked in any room including safe rooms and their
clan hall. They also may be attacked by people 10 levels
above them. If you attack someone who isn't violent you
will be set to violent for 10 ticks. If you attack
someone who is violent, you will be set to violent for at
least 3 ticks. If you are attacked you will be set to 1
violent until the first battle round, where you will be
set to 3 ticks. You may not quit while Violent.
2.3) Slain
If you are killed by another mortal you will be given a
Slain flag for 10 ticks. While under a slain flag you may
not attack players or be attacked by players. You also
cannot quest buy a corpse retrieval while under a Slain
flag without consent of your killer.
2.4) Killer
Going killer allows you to extend your pk range so that
you can attack people up to 10 levels below you however
while Killer you receive all of the transportation
drawbacks as Violent, cityguards and Diamyo will attack
you on sight, and any player can attack you anywhere.
To go killer type killer twice. To remove the killer
status you may purchase a pardon from the questmaster.
You are also pardoned from Killer if you are playerkilled.
2.5) Multikilling
If you have pkilled the same character twice in a 24 hour
period you may not attack this person again. However if
they attack you again, you may be aggressive as long as
they remain violent. Breaking of this policy will result
in an immediate slay/loot, and possible character denial.
2.6) PK Wait
Upon logging on to the mud your character is given a pk
wait timer of 12 ticks (approximately 5 minutes). During
this time you cannot attack anyone. You may not assist in
pk in any way and will be subject to the rules and
punishments associated with out of level pk interaction
(see 3.1) while your pk wait remains unless you are made
violent. If you are violent during pkwait, you can only
attack other targets that are violent as well.
